collateral Contract

• Evidence of collateral contract is admissible . 
• Collateral contract' means a separate contract in addition to the main contract . 
• Example : If X gives Y an undertaking in consideration of Y entering into a contract with X , then the undertaking is binding and is treated as a separate contract .
