Three phase 4 wires system

• In a three-phase service , the voltage reaches its macimum at a different time ine ach of the three wires . 
• First the voltage in one wire peaks , then that in the second , then that in the third , then again that in first and the cycle repeats . 
• In Malaysia , electricity generated and transmitted is of the three phase system . 
• In a four-wire , three-phase supply there are three line conductors carrying a live voltage of 240 each and one neutral return conductor . 
• The voltage between any one of the line conductors and the neutral will provide a single-phase voltage of 240V.
