- A contract is said to be discharged when it is terminated and the contracting parties are free from further obligations arising from it .
- A contract may be discharged by any one of the following ways ( as shown on the flow chart below ) :
- (i) Discharge by performance
- (ii) Discharge by agreement
- (iii) Discharge by frustration
- (iv) Discharge by breach
