Fire Science

  • Combustion is a series of very rapid chamical reaction between a fuel and oxygen ( usually from the air ) , releasing heat and light .
  • Heat is necessary to ignite the fire .
  • Thus the three elements required for a fire are heat , fuel and oxygen .
  • The removal of any element will extinguish the fire .
