Traditional ideas of management

  • Major approaches of management 
Classical - Emphasis on purpose , formal structure , hierarchy of management , technical requirement , and common principle of organization .

Human relations - Attention to social factors at work , groups , leaderships , the informal organization and behaviour of people .

Systems - The integration of the classical and human relation approaches . Importance to the socio- technicals system . The organization within its ecternal environment .

Contingency - No one best design of organization . Form of structure , management and "success" of the organization dependent upon a range situational variables .

Morden

- Modern theorists have come up with numerous ways and theories in enchancing organizations effectiveness to suit the modern organization environment , whch has change dynamically over the past 30 years ago or so . Some call this as the " dynamic engagement " or modern approach to management .
