Classes of sprinkler system

  • Three classes of sprinkler system have been developed to suit the following fire hazard classes of occupancy . 
  • Ordinary hazard
  • - Commercial and industrial occupancies involving the handling , processing and storage of mainly oridnary combustible materials unlikely to develop intensely burning fires in the initial stages . 
  • Example : breweries , cement works , restaurants , cafes , bakeries , engineering works , laundries , garages , boot and shoe factories , carpet factories , clothing factories , departmental stores , plastics factories , printing rooms , warehouses , cotton mills ,film and television studios .
