Sprinkler Heads

  • The sprinkler head has a liquid filled glass bulb that breaks due to the heat of the fire and releases water that sprays over the fire .
  • The activation principles of a normal glass bulb sprinkler head in the event of fire :
- In the event of fire , the hot gas ( hot air ) rises towards ceiling .
- The hot gas will expands the volatile fluid int he glass tube of sprnkler head .
- The tube will then burst at the set point temperature ( rupturing temperature ) .
- THis will release the valve and water will come out from the associated pipe work .
